The treasure box used to hold the Founder's Orb is an important artifact in the kingdom of Khura'in.
It is kept within the treasure room of Tehm'pul Temple, and like the artifact it contains, is off limits to most people, being only moved from the temple once a year to be carried to the royal residence for the New Year's Rite. As the Founder's Orb is considered too sacred to be seen by the average person, the treasure box prevents anyone but the royal family from laying eyes upon it, and the treasure box itself is only known to the public through select black-and-white photos in newspapers.
The treasure box was a piece of evidence in the trial of Ahlbi Ur'gaid for the murder of Paht Rohl. Rohl had initially intended to steal the Founder's Orb to provide for his family, but by the time he reached the box, its contents has already been stolen in turn by Pees'lubn Andistan'dhin. Rohl attempted to make off with the treasure box itself, for it was valuable in its own right, but was killed by Andistan'dhin to cover up the latter's theft. This left a hand-shaped bloodprint on the box, as Rohl was holding it when he was struck down.
The box glows in the dark thanks to being coated with fluorinite and can only be opened by placing the Mitamah Key in the butterfly engraving on its back. Although it possesses a lock shaped like a Psyche-Lock on its front, this is merely a decoy.
