Trucy Wright's Magic Panties were a piece of evidence in Apollo Justice's investigation into three different incidents assigned to him by Phoenix Wright, Trucy's adoptive father. The panties had been stolen the previous night during events leading up to the murder of Pal Meraktis.

Background[]

Magic panties

The panties are a pair of blue bloomers covered in pink hearts and diamonds surrounded by magenta lace and a bow. They are one of Trucy's signature props and the basis of her most famous trick at the Wonder Bar, seemingly pulling out numerous large items out of them. The panties were apparently specially ordered. The fact that she uses a pair of underwear for her tricks has been a source of second-hand embarrassment from other people, usually Apollo Justice.

The panty-snatcher[]

Trucy's performances caught the attention of Ivy University student Wesley Stickler, who wanted to know how the trick worked. This led him into committing a rash of panty thefts throughout the neighborhood. Eventually, he stole the object of his curiosity, leading to a chase. He ran into the Meraktis Clinic garage and hid the panties in the exhaust pipe of Meraktis's car. This inadvertently threw a wrench in Meraktis's plans to hide Alita Tiala's body in the river at People Park, instead using a nearby noodle stand as a form of transportation. Disappointed, Stickler headed home and discovered Plum Kitaki's bloomers. He stole them and headed to People Park, where he encountered Meraktis arguing with Wocky Kitaki, followed by a gunshot that killed Meraktis. Stickler called the police and threw the bloomers in a trash can to hide his own misdeeds.

The next day, Justice and Trucy found the panties and reported their investigation findings to Phoenix, which led to a discussion about the Meraktis Clinic. Meanwhile, Wocky was arrested and placed on trial for Meraktis's murder, and Stickler came forward as a witness, lying about what he had been doing and where he had been at the time of the crime. Unfortunately for him, Justice was able to deduce that he was responsible for the panty thefts, explaining why he had lied.

Evidence storage[]

Trucy continued assisting Justice in his next two cases. After that, however, her role in investigations and trials for the Wright Anything Agency were diminished to occasionally keeping evidence that had outlived their usefulness, putting them inside her Magic Panties.
