Warning: Plot Spoilers Below

In the opening scene, two men appear to be fighting in an epic struggle. They are the Steel Samurai and the Evil Magistrate. It is really an episode being watched by an extremely excited Maya.

Day 1: Investigation

In the morning, Phoenix is woken up by a call from his cell phone: it's Maya, saying that the man who plays the Steel Samurai was arrested for murder. At the office, Maya receives a call from Mr. Will Powers, the actor who plays her favorite TV hero. They go to the detention center to find a buff-looking man whom Maya seems to be surprised at. After giving a statement on why he keeps his face concealed with the Samurai mask, he tells her and Phoenix what happened and gives them directions to Global Studios and a letter of request to get in.

When Phoenix and Maya arrive at the main gate, they are confronted by a grumpy and talkative security lady who claims to have seen Powers head for the scene of the crime: Studio One where the body of Jack Hammer was discovered by the security lady herself, along with other people.

Further investigation arrives at the conclusion that someone else was at Global Studios on the day of the incident and that the security lady should have seen them. She goes off to find the young assistant girl (Penny Nichols) for "criticizing [her] job," leaving our heroes to find one photograph: a photo of the Steel Samurai, headed for the studio that day.

Day 2: Trial

Once again, Miles Edgeworth stands at the prosecution bench to do what he does best: prove the defendant's alleged guilt. He first calls Detective Gumshoe to the stand to lay out the facts this time. Soon after he calls the security officer to the stand; her name is Wendy Oldbag. As soon as she takes the stand, she starts to flirt with Edgeworth, much to the latter's chagrin.
