"Turnabout Samurai - 1st Trial" is the fifth episode of the Ace Attorney animated adaptation. It is the first of three episodes that adapt the story of Turnabout Samurai from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
When Jack Hammer, an actor in the popular children's television show The Steel Samurai: Warrior of Neo Olde Tokyo is found murdered, the prime suspect is lead star Will Powers. To Maya Fey, the series' newest fan, this looks like the perfect first case for the Wright & Co. Law Offices. However, a crotchety security woman called Wendy Oldbag won't make things simple for them.

- In this episode, the Steel Samurai manipulates water and saves a child, while the Evil Magistrate originally wears a cloak and attacks. In the original game, all they do is talk and charge towards each other.
