Whet Soba is a soba shop owned by the Whet family, passed down through generations. Bucky Whet is the fourth generation owner, also known as "Whet Noodle No. 4".

Owner accused of murder[]

Whet was accused of Taifu Toneido's murder and stood trial. Part of the prosecution's argument came down to a set of Karuta Cards laid out on the victim's table, supposedly spelling out "WHET NO 4". Another part of the argument was the defendant's injury to the forehead, precisely what would have happened had he committed the murder. The true culprit, however, was Geiru Toneido.
