Murder[]
- Main article: The Adventure of the Unspeakable Story
Herlock Sholmes deposited the manuscript for the Hound of the Baskervilles story within the pawnbrokers in order to keep it from Iris Wilson. His reasoning for doing so was that the manuscript contained information that would reveal the truth about Her father and the infamous serial killer known as "the Professor", feeling that she was not yet ready for said information.
After hearing about the existence of the manuscript, Gina Lestrade refused to believe that Sholmes had taken it from Wilson and hidden it away in the storeroom. One night, she snuck into the pawnbrokers and forced the Windibank to open the vault by threating him with his own gun. Upon finding the manuscript, Lestrade realized that Wilson indeed wasn't lying. Suddenly, the two of them heard a noise outside the storeroom. Windibank took his gun from Lestrade and went outside to investigate. After more noise, Windibank returned, albeit having been shot. Lestrade took his gun to defend herself, but quickly fell unconscious.
