Wocky's chart was a piece of evidence in Apollo Justice's investigation into the murder of Pal Meraktis.

Wocky's charts

The medical chart was a post-operation report from a surgery performed by Meraktis on Wocky Kitaki after he was shot during an altercation with the Rivales family. The bullet was lodged next to his aorta, and would eventually cause fatal internal damage. Meraktis failed to remove the bullet but covered it up out of fear of reprisal from the boy's parents, Winfred and Plum. The chart, signed by him and filed by nurse Alita Tiala, was hidden in a safe in the office of the Meraktis Clinic.

In January, Tiala quit her job, and she and Wocky got engaged, though Tiala in reality was only hoping to inherit some of the Kitakis' wealth after Wocky succumbed to his bullet wound. Six months after the incident with the Rivales family, however, Winfred ordered a health check-up, and the bullet was found still inside Wocky's body. Tiala learned of this and went to Meraktis Clinic to get rid of the medical chart bearing her name. That night, Tiala forced Meraktis at gunpoint to open the safe, but Meraktis attacked her. Believing that she was dead, Meraktis stole Guy Eldoon's noodle stand and used it to carry Tiala to People Park. There, he encountered Wocky, who was furious due to Meraktis's lie all those months ago. Tiala then woke up and heard Meraktis in the process of telling Wocky the truth about her. She shot Meraktis dead from inside the noodle stand, causing Wocky to flee the scene. He was later arrested and was put on trial for the murder.

After the first day of the trial, Tiala went to the clinic to retrieve the chart, but Wocky's defense team, Apollo Justice and Trucy Wright, arrived to investigate, forcing her to flee and leaving behind her sandals. Realizing the chart's importance to the case, Justice kept it hidden from Ema Skye. He confronted Wocky with the chart, getting him to admit to how he had met Tiala, and that he already knew that the surgery had not gone as claimed by Meraktis. He also took it to Eldoon to take a look at, having already found out about his past as a surgeon. Eldoon was shocked at the chart, explaining that Wocky was all but dead, and that there would likely not be a surgeon in the country who could operate on him.

Justice headed to the trial the next day, armed with this sobering information. Tiala was called as a witness, and she testified that Wocky had taken a gun from the family's stash to confront Meraktis. She also claimed to have no relation to Meraktis, but Justice presented the chart and the sandals to Tiala, showing that she did have a present connection to Meraktis. Tiala then explained that she had visited the clinic to warn Meraktis about Wocky. Justice confronted her with the chart, but Tiala claimed that she had just been a nurse there, and had no reason to retrieve the chart after six months. Justice's bracelet reacted at this last statement, and he realized that the health check-up had suddenly made it necessary for her to retrieve the chart. He was able to piece together the altercation at Meraktis Clinic and the events leading up from that to the murder, and Wocky was found not guilty.

After the trial, Wocky and Winfred started arguing. Justice stepped in and helped Winfred explain to his son why he had changed his ways from being a gang boss to making clean money as a businessman. It turned out that Winfred had found a surgeon who could remove the bullet from his son. Though he already had amassed a fortune, he wanted to use clean money specifically because he knew what the gangster life had already done to his son.

Note[]

When the chart is found, Apollo Justice accidentally mispronounces/misspells the names of Alita Tiala and Wocky Kitaki as "Alita Tialita" and "Wocky Kitaky". Trucy Wright corrects him, intentionally mispronouncing/misspelling his name as "Apololo" and "Appolo".
