The wooden experiment birdcage was evidence in the trial of Albert Harebrayne for the murder of Odie Asman. Originally thought to contain the victim, it actually contained the waxwork statue of the person originally thought to be the "Professor". According to Harebrayne, the wood used to make the cage (as well as the second cage that Asman was actually concealed in) came from a hinoki cypress.
